On Test: Kuat NV Core Hitch Rack- by Grannygear

Twentynineinches will be unboxing and testing a Kuat NV Core platform or tray style, hitch mounted rack right after the new year.  The NV Core sits in the mid-range between the NV and the Sherpa and is closer to the full featured NV in appearance and function, but strips some of the extras like the NV’s built in bike repair stand and the integrated cable and hitch pin lock (although you can add that security feature(s) to the NV Core).  Hence, the ‘Core’ designation.  Just the facts ma’am. The NV Core still has a generous 120lb combined bike weight rating and accommodates longer wheelbase bikes up to 48″ and with tires up to 3″ wide.  It folds up, tilts down, and pretty much keeps bikes right where you want them and gets out of the way when you need it to.  The NV Core has a suggested retail of $439.00.

We will get this Out Of the Box soon, but until then, here is a video from Kuat that shows the NV Core and how it works.

Note: Kuat sent the NV Core for test and review at no charge to Twenty Nine Inches. We are not being bribed, nor paid to do this review. We will strive to give our honest thoughts and opinions throughout.
