Yes it would, because it&#039;s likely impossible with current manufacturing and materials. Period. No way are usable carbon rims going to weigh 200g any time soon, and certainly not at what&#039;s currently a low end price point for wheelsets.

I think overall the bike market is pretty amazing right now. It&#039;s actually hard to buy bad components unless you&#039;re broke, the lower price points keep getting lighter, and tires keep improving. Forks and frames are better than ever.</description>

Transition TransAM 29er. I am a Cat 1 racer and I ride this all winter. It just makes smile even at 29.5 pounds.
