Eurobike 2012: Rocky Mountain Instinct 130mm FS Bike- Guitar Ted

Rocky Mountain has been plenty busy of late with introductions of new bicycles for we mountain bike types. Last we heard was about the new Altitude 27.5″ers. Now we are getting news of another new bike, the 130mm travel Instinct 29″er.

2013 Rocky Mountain Instinct 29 970

Rocky Mountain is describing these two new bikes as rigs that have “…trail bike versatility with cross country DNA” They will feature 130mm travel front and rear.

The Instinct line up will consist of two models, this one is the 970. It will feature Race Face, Shimano XT and DT Swiss components and a Rock Shox Reverb dropper post. Suspension duties fall to Fox’s new CTD dampers front and rear. Rocky has a slew of technologies that are part of these bikes. Stay tuned for a detailed report on that coming later.

The 2013 Rocky Mountain Instinct 950

The 950 Instinct model will be equipped with a mixture of Race Face, SRAM X-9, X-7, and Wheeltech wheel components.
