Chainline. I'd love to see the build geometry numbers and get a ride report of your custom 29er Nicolai if you don't mind. Thinking of building something similar, possibly with a pinion gearbox and it sounds like you have already done it ;-)

RGB nameless. More than three. A number of us have had custom Nicolai's with short stays, Horst link, 147mm rear travel, 140 front, (able to take up to 160mm) 67deg head angle direct mount mech, 74 seat angle etc. Nicolai are making a production version of these custom frames now. Heavier than these carbon bikes by 1lg of course. my Nicolai comes in at 28lb with pedals, reverb post, 31mm wide rims and 2.4 tyres that dont tear their own sidewalls at the sight of a rock so not exactly heavy. Not too many people smashing rock gardens on Tune hubs either...
It's a very light frame, but in my experience some of the component choices are not what I would use for 'all mountain'. I genuinely feel the term has come to embody a travel range rather than real world, wild, natural riding in the middle of nowhere. With big rock and big drops. Maybe I'm wrong.

Ok, so one thing i'm confused about is whether there's a carbon 120mm AMS frame, or if it's staying alloy, or if it's being replaced completely by the alloy/carbon 100mm frame?

This is really an interesting bike ! It get's a place in my short list, along the Tallboy LTC, FSR sWorks, genius 900.

Lets wait for a suspension analysis to get an idea of the anti squat values.

The reach in L and XL is nearly identical.
