@Pete

I have ridden a 2011 Epic Expert CF model. I think it is very much like the Marathon but the chassis felt stiffer from wheel to wheel in the carbon version. It also snapped forward smartly when pedaled, even more so then the alu marathon.

So just add that to the review and come to a conclusion from that. Everything else remained pretty much the same (except for no XX on the Carbon Expert, etc.).

@GuitarTed
Very nice review, lots of useful details....
Did you by chance ride the new 2011 Epic S-works?
And if yes how would it compare to Tallboy?

@Star: The Specialized can be the winner there if you take care setting up the Brain to work to reduce out of the saddle bob.

Which one bobs less with or without propedal? I don't mind stopping at the top and turning the propedal off, I just HATE bob when I climb out of the saddle

So, am I hearing this right in that the tall boy bobs less when you're standing? I'm considering going to the tall boy from a salsa mamasita (which I love) and am mostly a standing climber (even on smooth stuff) so efficient climbing ability is where it's at for me.
