If the comparison for 26" can be used.
I recently bought a pair of tubular wheels (FRM / XMD309) with Tufo XC 2 Prima tires to use as race wheels, to compare I also have Stans Podium MMX on DT240 running tubeless with RRon with sealant. Allthough I think my Stans are great, but the tubulars are by far a better ride. Roll better, more traction and especially far superior cornering ability.

I dont doubt at all that 29" tubular will be to prefer over clinchers.

hi cloxxki interesting opinion you are posting on tubulars in comparison to tubeless tires … have you ridden MTB tubulars much?

When I am getting the tubular tires and rims up and running (which I am hoping will happen soon) then I am looking forward to a coulourful conversation and your input on this topic.

Meanwhile I can communicate to all of you the place to turn if you want to get some of these 29er tubular rims – production is to start within the next two weeks:

a, from the manufacturer directly: www.frmbike.de
(contact: info@frmbike.de)

b, from a shop in Netherlands, who will stock them: http://www.singlespeed.nl
(contact: shop@singlespeed.nl)

Interesting article. It seems some research went into it, but from a fresh start. Some misinformation is spread (we see that in leading German mags also, even if their conclusion is relatively positive to 29). FIETS took some measuring equipment to the trails, and managed to get an edge for 29", that's interesting.

I know I'm a tough crowd, but Fiets could have done better getting more fat checking done, they could have asked someone, it's a small country, certainly for 29", but the knowledge is there.

But mentioning half or more of every point "just" wrong, the authors bend (what I consider) the truth. And it's not even universally so that I always see 29" as better, I see some exceptions, which are not addressed correctly.

Sad truth, is that is one of the better 29" articles in Dutch that I've ever read.
This is why I don't buy magazines. I don't even thumb them in the news sand anymore.
If you want to good stuff, read Guitar Ted, don't miss a post!
