I suspected it was the thin walls. My Renegade is an S-works also and doesn't have that problem. Less tread though so maybe they put more rubber in the wall. Guess I will just have to check the air pressure every time I ride, like I should anyways.

@LP: Sounds familiar. It is the "S-Works Casing". Too thin. A "Control Casing" would hold air better.

I have 2 bikes that both have the purgatory s-works set up tubeless on the front. One has a captain on the back and the other a renegade. The purgatories need air every other day while the other tires stay firm. Anyone know why they don't seem to hold air as well?

@shop mechanic

As well, GT has a plethora (always wanted to say that word) of big casing tires right now (and the rims to go with it) so it made sense to have him look at the 2.4s and compare to the Ardents, etc. I have had plenty of mud lately on the 2.2s....too much mud IMO. I am ready for drier trail conditions.

@Shop Mechanic: Check out that image. It is the 2.2"er in the mud. ;)

Yes, they will be tested in other conditions as well, but we will have to wait for the weather and the seasons to cooperate. Twenty Nine Inches has no "travel budget", so it isn't like we can just go hither and yon where ever the conditions are perfect. :) Look for the kind of feedback you are suggesting in the months to come.
