after adjusting/mutating into ss and rigid and 29er in one nearly swift motion, i figured it was time to stop reading the dirt drop kool-aid acid info out there and step into the venn diagram...and out of it (at the same time ;)

before i go switching out hooded brakes and all, i figured i'd get a good sense of the trail-drop experience if i slapped on that annoying bontrager comfort/cruiser bar i keep tripping over in the basement. so yeah i flipped it, reversed it (some people don't get THAT) and...it looks stupid. but it rides almost like a dream. need to hit some more trails, but i might just leave the gary bars in the basement to trip over.

my trails are basic southeast pa rooty rocky punchy climb terrain. today was almost (not quite) as paradigm-deconstructin' as was my first race on the ss rigid 29er after my multi fs 26er went down. and then i saw the darkness at the beginning of the tunnel....

@Paul: Usually you would look for a wider bar for single track use, since wider bars afford you more leverage.
