Ted, Do you know what the stem length is for the these bars. I read that they are 700mm wides, but the Rawland site makes no mention of the equally important stem length.

A clear coat finish on bare steel or paint w/fillet brazed joints. I'm not into big chrome bits, but I'm sure my taste is in the minority. Integrating the bolts into the faceplate would be nice...not like modern faceplate designs, but possibly finding a happy middle ground?....these suggestions might not fit into Rawland's style or price point?....but, as a stand alone component, it's something I (and possibly others?) would like to see offered.
Rawland's concept modernizes the bull moose and offers more functionality. The ability to apply a custom bar to a removable face bull moose stem and adjust angle - very cool. I ride a wide, flat, custom Ti Hbar with lots of sweep and sacrifice rigidity for out-of-the-saddle climbing leverage. The bull moose stem could help stiffen things up without ruining the damping qualities of a Ti Hbar.

to mercer:

to me, faceplates look elegant for their function.

how would you make them look any more elegant?

Clunky faceplates.
Grant Peterson + others have been on to this bull moose revival for awhile....it has a place somewhere. I would think the target market for a bar like this would want something a little more elegant looking?....
