Bigger BB spindle is going, (or can be), stiffer, and bearings are somewhat better protected inside the BB shell. However; the bearings are narrower in stance, (closer together) and what you gain in spindle stiffness from an oversized spindle, you give away a bit with the bearing placement. 

I think Pressfit 30 is actually a bit better, and the BB92/BB86 are also better from this standpoint. 

Ideally, I think a wider stance bearing, bigger spindled, bigger bearing BB, (which doesn&#039;t exist as yet), would actually be better, but would cause a big shift in the way things are done with regards to frames.</description>

		<description>i just hope iam not giving up performance that i get from the carbon with bb30.i luv the carbon but after  a couple chain suck issues the chain stay is looking like hamburger,i live on east coast and ride rocks,baby heads always bouncing of the dwntube,i just dont see carbon lasting long.other then weight and being narrower is bb30 a better system.</description>
