Lynskey Ridgeline 29″er: On Test
May 12th, 2009 by Guitar TedTwenty Nine Inches has just taken delivery of a Lynskey Performance Ridgeline 29″er, which is part of their “Houseblend” line of titanium frames which includes models in their Road, Mountain, and Triathlon series. Here’s what the Lynskey site says about the Ridgeline:
The Lynskey Ridgeline 29 delivers all the benefits you expect from a high performance 29er. Our combination of cold-worked/multi-shaped titanium, 29 inch wheels, and balanced geometry will give you the increased traction, comfort, and stability you’re looking for while avoiding the normal 29er pitfalls of poor standover, sluggish handling, and a whippy front end.

Seems like a great frame at a nice price. I’m not a fan the sliding drop outs (I’m the guy with the 27 F*CKING SPEEDS T shirt you see at the races, ha!) and would rather keep things looking traditional since I wouldn’t benefit. But I will be anxious to read more about it.
BB height? Steep head angle, what about fork offset and trail? I can wait for the review.

maheo: I’ll have detailed specs in my next post, but the offset on the fork is 44mm and the head angle is 72 degrees. It steers pretty snappy. Nice for a light bike and very fun to ride so far. I’ll have thoughts on the ride performance in my First Impressions post. Look for those coming soon.
