Twenty Nine Inches will be testing these FSA XC-290 wheels in the coming months. These are in FSA’s mountain bike pre-built wheel line up and are meant for trail/XC duty. The wheels came with skewers and rim strips installed. Look for a more detailed “Out Of The Box” post in the coming days where I will lay out some visuals and get into the nitty-gritty about these hoops. Until then, here is a pic to start you off with!

nice. wonder how it would compare to the fulcrums?
Slightly OT, but I guess the Giant 29″ers would be shod with A-class or Alex wheelsets?
agu: Giant uses a lot of A-Class wheels, so it wouldn’t be a surprise.
The FSA’s have more spokes and weigh a similar amount to the lower level Fulcrums, (claimed) weight. The upper end Fulcrums are tubeless ready, but you must convert the FSA wheels should you want to run a tubeless set up. (Using Stan’s)
i have these wheels on my bike and have ridden them for about 3 months. so far,so good. i had a pair of 26″ fsa’s that tended to get out of true fairly often, so i’m not sure why i decided to try another pair, but i am very happy so far. they seem to roll fairly well and corner better than the american classic wheels i used to ride.
