Introducing the Twenty Nine Inches Database (plus, win a Vassago Bandersnatch from Bike29)

February 12th, 2008 by Tim Grahl

Here at twentynineinches.com we are constantly working to make our site your main source of 29er information. We talk about the newest products hitting the market, do regular product reviews and have a pretty extensive amount of bike porn for you to browse through.

However, as we were looking around the interweb, we couldn’t seem to find a good and complete list of 29er products that were on the market. And we also realize that all of you, the readers, collectively have much more knowledge than any one site ever could.

That’s why we’ve decided to launch the Twenty Nine Inches Database.

This is a database of 29er products that anyone can edit. It is collaboratively written by you, the readers. We’ve kicked it off by adding several products, but need you to help finish it out. As you help with this, it will grow to become a great resource for people looking to buy or upgrade their 29er.

What’s really hot about this launch is Bike29.com has kicked in a Vassago Bandersnatch frame that you can win. All you have to do is register with the Twenty Nine Inches database and start updating or adding products.

So check out the Twenty Nine Inches Database and let us know what you think!

I applaud you for setting this up. And Bike29 for donating a bike. Good to read it will go to a database contributor.

One day, 29″ bikes and parts suppliers may want to make sure they’re “in” with all the important information.

Awesome! Thanks for setting this up. When adding or editing entries do you want weight (if available) in a separate field or just in the description? This database is a great idea!

Yes, thanks for setting up the db…

Dust: In the case of bikes, it can go in with the specs. The rims and forks can have it in the description.
