I have had a '07 for almost 2000 miles. Wheels and seat/ seat post are a little weak. Core bike is bullet proof. BB is strong. I broke lesser frames at BB or down tube/ head tube so that is why I bought it. I do some challenging stuff in NC and GA. Climbs well and can take a drop. I would buy another with the disc tabs after this one. Why spend big bucks for something simple?

Just saw the '09 catalog. The new color will be red. Perdy neat, but I still like the green. There's also something called the Big Ripper, a 29" PK. Now that's rad. Still riding mine to work, and I bought my wife one with a basket.

Good for climbing and running in the summer, changed to a 12T rear cog for fall street riding in Brooklyn. Its a sick bird for sure. Good things.

GT - good point and agreed.

But hills and enjoyment would be mutually exclusive with this as a SS - unless you are 85kg+ and capable of a continuous power output to rival Stuart O'Grady !

Actually it has everything to make it a healthy 2x9. I think the price is just swell for what I got. Nothing's going to be perfect for under 5 bills. Plus, my wife says it's pretty.
