Hey CSH Raleigh, thank you for the info. I stopped by my LBS today on the way home from work and they gave Raleigh a call. I figured that it was a mistake on the price on the website.

Hey there GCG199 & Desert9r,

The pricing on the 2008 XXIX (single speed) is the same as last year - it will run you about $750-$800. We just had an error on the website that bumped the price up.

GCG199
Desert9r is right, the only difference is the tires, graphics package, and we added an XL size.

Enjoy!

The Only difference is the tires! expect a $300 increase. I got my '07 for $800 and Raleigh is posting the '08 for $1100+

Does anyone know what the price on the 2008 XXIX singlespeed is? It looks like they priced it a lot higher than the 2007 version (which I already have).

I like the way they changed certain components on the 2008 version and am quite tempted to get one even though I have the 2007.

Adjusting EBB, loosen the 2 hex screws on the bottom, I found it easiesy to use a long hex key to rotate it using the holes on the side, position it where you want it, and tighten screws on the bottom.

Hope that helps

I like the blue! I might paint mine White, artic white.

Hey, how do you properly adjust the BB when you get chain slack? I seem to be doing something wrong?

I have ridden my XXIX (stock) 5-6 times per week for 1-2 hours per ride and have done nothing - NOTHING - more than lube the chain and spray it down after a ride, talk about low maintenance.

I rode with some frsusp 29'rs at Oleta last weekend, they were fast/smooth and I had a hard time keeping up but managed to stay with them - uness they were taking it easy on me

wish list - indyfab SS 29
