di: No sweat. I got a look at it on the scales. Sub 23lbs! Just under by a gram or two, but still. Stock build kits should be right at 27lbs from Niner when thses finally come on line later in the summer.

di: The brakes are Maguras, I believe, as that's where the bike was rolled in from after hving the brakes bled, according to Chris Sugai of Niner.

Cloxxki: No word on what was the motivation there. I do know, as you do, that G2 was made possible for 26"ers by a relationship between Fisher and Manitou, but perhaps with the recent sale to Hayes, that surely was in the works months and months ago, Trek/Fisher may have made the switch to Fox instead. Just my guess. I'll ask around to see what I can find out.

Thanks for the text and pics!

Any word how the Manitou forks came to be? Their own initiative, or like Fox due to a (perhaps even failed) OEM deal?
