Big whoop! What happened to the 2007’s? I ordered a 2007 69er back in october of 2006. It’s now April 2007 and Trek still cannot give me a delivery date! Maybe they are just going to skip a year.
goblke: The bikes are shipping to dealers now, according to what we were told yesterday. There were issues with the color matching fork and some other details that held the project up, but they are coming now.
Hi there,
Im about to buy a new bike and need some help… I really love the simple design of the Trek 69er single speed and really need to know if this bike is good enough for biking on rough terrain and in the woods? Any help is really appreciated…
Thanks,
Alexander
Rode one of these on the demo daze in Wales on Sunday. It is a great bike, if you have very strong legs or avoid steep climbs. The large front wheel really works and you put more weight over it so it takes most of the bumps and turns in better. The back rides rough terrain well despite no suspension and feels confident. You have to really want a single speed to spend that much for one though especially as the geared version is cheaper!
Needs a chainstay U-brake like the Beast of the East.
There is right in the world.

Wuzbeen – Awesome Beast of the East reference!
its always fun to get a bike into the shop for tune ups that comes with the mighty chainstay u-brake. Usually a bulldog brake to boot.

that is sweet!
I am excited for this technology
as I hate flatting out
especially with the cost of a 29er tube!
I think I commented to the wrong post

tim is used to such things
Is that a Maverick fork, the best fork ever!?
