April 5th, 2007 by Tim GrahlHere’s a few pictures that were passed my way to show off one of the new colors on the 2008 Haro Mary SS. It’s called SG (semi-gloss) Carolina Blue. Go tarheels!
This is a personal bike, so the 2008 won’t be spec’d out this way. Actually closer to the 2007 model.
And the other available color will be Humboldt Green.

That is Dave Mirra blue if I have ever seen it. I have a pair of his DC signature shoes from a few years back and that color is all over ‘em. Plus B4 he went to gold bikes for the X-Games his signature Haros were that color.

Me thinks “Ferrous” when I see this color. Hmm, sky blue is the “new” official 29″er color taking over from green maybe?
FYI: I have a Haro XC in Humboldt Green and it’s dead sexy!
Love it. Wish mine was that color….But I won’t sell it to get the new. That’s just silly.
if you went to carolina then i am sorry. if you didn’t go to carolina then you are a poseur. call it sky blue, light blue, faded blue, washed out blue, dark white, robin’s egg blue, seashell blue, ocean blue, light tealish blue, frozen lips blue, orange county college blue, but don’t call it carolina blue.

I go to the Northern Michigan University, and i bleed Wisconsin Badger red. its pretty ludicris to say that the only Tarheel fans are the ones that are from Carolina or go to UNC. Everyones got their team, everyones got their opinions and since Tim G runs the show here, hes got that privy to show his team support in anyway he choices.
Back at the ranch, I dig the carolina blue since Haro threw it on their BMX bikes for Mirra, glad to see that they expanded it into the MTB clan. But i am going to miss the days were the only color you can get a 29er in was some sort of shade of uggg green.
Wow!….So, we are all in agreement here; 1. Dave Mirra’s ability to land a double back flip or a backflip 360 in competition makes him the man. & 2. 29″ bikes are the sheeeeeeeet.

Haro’s official name for this color is “SG Carolina Blue”. Since the Tarheels are known as Carolina Blue I just threw that in.

allright guys, i agree, my comments here read a bit harsh. hard to be sarcastic and funny on the internet. maybe i need to find a funny face or 2 to throw in.
it’s waaay cool that haro brought back dave mirra’s color choice, riding a bike, even blue, is cool.
excuse me if i am wrong . but Dave Mirra left Haro to go make his own company with/at TREK . so i dont think Haro made that SS 29″ in Mirra blue to honor his absence . maybe just a big batch of the paint they want to get rid of now that he is gone ?
i am a tar heel grad and that is a sweet bike. i would trade my army green frame for that.
i’ve also seen a spy shot of a 1×9 monocog flight 29er in a similar light blue, posed for release.
looks like carolina blue could be taking over poo brown and army green.
OK guys (and gals if there are any present)…just to settle this, we (Haro) call this shade of blue Carolina Blue since it was Dave Mirra’s signature color when rode for us. Dave lives in North Carolina, hence the name Carolina Blue. Even though Dave doesn’t ride for us anylonger, we generally don’t change the names of colors we’ve used in the past for the benefit of our dealers who will be able to recognize the color they have sold in the past.
I can guarantee you that we (Haro) and Tim Grahl meant no disrespect to Tarheel fans in the naming of this color, nor were any Tarheel fans harmed in the process.
See what happens when you throw a bunch of fashion deficient barheels in the room with a can a blue paint?! hahaha just kidding I love D.Mirra AND N.Carolina.

I did. I also like the 07 OM Flyer. I only wish it didnt have front brakes and a more “authentic” cruiser geometry.
Ok already. Move on to something else. I’m tired of looking at that bike for days on end and the arguing hurts my eyes. It’s just not that nice.

Wow. The bike is plenty nice. Thanks for your accuracy with my name though. I just wanna see something else on the front page of the site, that is all. The bike is great, just not 4 days front page nice…that’s it. No need for offense, just some other tidbit 29er related please after several days.
