Keep the rumor mill churning!!!
We do our best, but to be truthfull, we are at the mercy of regular riding folks like you that happen to have connections, or know industry folks and are willing to share.
Certainly, we garner a fair share of what you read here from our own footwork, but some of the juiciest rumors that have come true have been tipped off to us by regular “joes” out there in mtb-land!
A big tip of the helmet to all who help us out here at Twenty Nine Inches! We couldn’t do it without you.
It’s not a longer offset Rock Shox fork, it’s a Specialized fork. This test bike also has two new 29′er 2.3 tires that look very similar to Maxxis Crossmark tread, but carry the Specialized name on them.
swolfe: Thanks for that. I was being a bit vague on purpose so as to not upset certain people out there.
My opinion is that Specialized is making a big mistake if they don’t get a Fox shock on the front of their 29″er, but that’s just me!
Most of the Specialize tires look eeerily similar to Maxxis tires….
Oh, and I will have production drawings of a New 29er frame in the next few days…this isn’t a new guy in the bike market, or an old guy jumping on the bandwagon….just a great guy, hooking a few of the local boys up with what we’ve been begging for!
