At this point Trek has to enter the fray. Any company that doesn't will have egg on its face at Interbike 2007 and be wearing omelets by 2008. All the hype is now blowing in the wind for the most part but also on Cycling News there was an update on the 26 vs 29 testing I saw. BFD. Too late for the buzzer there. I don't think that anyone should really care at this point if one is better than the other because they both just are, and always have been. Bikes that is. Run what you brung. You say tomato and I say tomatoe etc. Originally I thought it would take 5 years for 29"ers to assimilate in to the industry, now it looks like it will be more like 9 or 10. But in retrospect it doesn't surprise me at all. Nor will it when I see a Motiv 29"er on the Wal Mart sales floor someday. My inside Trek guy says he'd be surprised if it wasn't a 69"er and that he's seen "several around here".
