Rumors are starting up already concerning Cannondales ‘08 line up for 29″ers. At one time we had heard that there would be a spring/summer introduction of a single speed 29″er model, but that has been apparently nixed. Now we are hearing that Cannondale plans on having the F-29 in two spec levels. One that is similar to what we have now for ‘07 and another “race” level spec, that will obviously be lighter and more expensive.

It’s interesting to note that just such a “race” level spec was being lobbied for by some dealers and Cannondale reps for this year in addition to the current F-29. Apparently the sales of the ‘07 model are encouraging enough to go ahead with the requested up spec’ed model, but not until the ‘08 model year. Save your pennies, Cannondale fans. You just might be getting what you wanted!
