I figure this will give me a better feel for the wheelset without being bamboozeled with the tubeless tire thing at the same time. I spoke with the Bontrager wheel systems product manager last week and he stated that the tubeless ready tire can be run with less sealant than the 26" tires. Supposedly the 29er tire uses a 60tpi casing. Hence a thicker thread in the casing, less sealant needed in tire to seal. Mount up a set of Bontrager Jones 1.8, add some Super Juice and you could have a nice light 29"er wheelset that rivals some 26" setups. And for the one speed junkies, you could add a narrower freehub body to make them even lighter.
