Until the Tubeless Ready tires are available (April at the earliest) I'll be tubed with standard 29"er tires.

I figure this will give me a better feel for the wheelset without being bamboozeled with the tubeless tire thing at the same time.

Sweet wheels! I spoke with the Bontrager wheel systems product manager last week and he stated that the tubeless ready tire can be run with less sealant than the 26" tires. Supposedly the 29er tire uses a 60tpi casing. Hence a thicker thread in the casing, less sealant needed in tire to seal. Mount up a set of Bontrager Jones 1.8, add some Super Juice and you could have a nice light 29"er wheelset that rivals some 26" setups. And for the one speed junkies, you could add a narrower freehub body to make them even lighter. Guitar Ted, can't wait to read your review on how they ride, will you be running tubeless or the good ol butyl on those wheels?
