I received some more pictures of the Ibex Section-29 that I mentioned in previous posts here, here and here. This time it’s built up.

    Nice, but it’s kinda weird that they’d use a Trek logo, right?

    Hah, it’s a weird fluke that the Ibex logo looks just like trek when you only see the bottom half.

    In any case, that is a LOT of bike for $1000. That spec blows the fishers out of the water. It will be interesting to see if it rides well ;-)

    At this price, you could probably buy the frame of your choice, and then buy this for the build kit.

    $500 Fork
    $300 wheels
    $100 shifter/derailleur
    $130 Cranks
    $150 Brakes
    $60 Bars and Stem
    $30 Cassette
    $30 Headset
    $15 Chain
    $10 Cables

    At the intro price I daresay that the parts are worth more than the bike even WITHOUT the frame. If I had a spare $1000 lying around, I’d buy put my order in now.
