Yes! It’s black!! Rock!!
Ahh! Johnny Cash’s love child chimes in. (ha ha!) Mr.24 is being swayed to the “dark side”. Just wait, it won’t be long now……..
Anyway, any idea on MSRP on this? Reba fork and gears has got to put this into the $1400 range, don’t ya think?
Looks really good and it should ride very smoothly with that fork on it. The rigid XXIX is a pretty smooth ride as it is.
Name is a bit lame, but hey! It’s a dedicated geared hardtail! Amazing!
What are gears?
I would think this bike would be more in the ballpark of the $999-1100 range. The fork is the only thing that sticks out as being expensive. That would be an awesome range to have a fully geared 29er at!
I am wondering about the logic of some of these companies. Is there a general market for really inexpencive 29ers? What really make this bike all thta diferent from the Cobia from Fisher? It’s damn near the same spec. Basically, the Paragon is about the highest level available in any capacity, at only $1650 ish?
Look at what happened with Orbea. Damn, carbon frame, best parts, one size only, and all sold out? It leads me to believe that there is a market for bikes that aren’t super inexpencive.
With everyone and their brother competing to see wo can build the best liked cheapest thing going, I will be excited when a company comes out with a full on race bike in large quantities. People want others to get on the 29er scene? Give higher end riders something they can lust after.
The MSRP for this bike is $1325 and it is due out in December.
Any fair value, properly made 29″ bike you put on the market will sell out. Try and make enough!
maybe after they buy their first Honda or Toyota , then the customers might upgrade to a Acura or Lexus . i cant even afford the entry level Porshe , but i like to look at the Carrera GT at the Car Shows . how many $ 400,000 cars do they sell ? at the shop , we sell alot more Trek 1000s than Madone SL’s . it all comes down to supply and demand .
anyways , arent Higher End Riders all sponsored already ?
High end riders sponsered? HA Not in the Northeast! And what is a high end rider? I consider a high end rider the guy with the Porsche that has a BRAND NEW Madone or Six 13 every year with less then 100 miles on it. Racers on the other hand, for the most part mind you, will not touch a 29er with a 20 foot stick. Either that or their sponsors won’t let them!
I am mearly stating the obvious. Currently almost every major MTB company has an entry level 29er. The parts specs on these are very similar. When one company came out with an actual race bike, they sould exceedingly well. I think that it’s time the market branches out from who can build the most popular $1500 29er, that’s a pretty well covered market. I think it’s time to take it up a notch, that’s what would get me excited.
what about Jesse Lalonde smokes everyone on a 29er single speed
It seems everyone forgot that it is STEEL. Think of it like a rig with a susp fork and some gears. Or go back further to the great steel hardtails of yor, HKEK ect. w/ the technology of today.
Better idea. Put rim brakes on it and get it under $1000.00
