For Saleeeee

29er Wily Cycles 20″Wily cycles: Boulder, CO

It pains me to sell this bike, because in many ways it rides better than my custom, but I don’t have the room for two mountain bikes. Here’s your chance to try all the things you’ve been hearing about: 29″ wheels, steel!, rigid fork, singlespeed. The frame was built with a derailleur hanger and all of the cable braze-ons, so it can be turned into a geared bike if that is what you’re interested in; I have it set up as a singlespeed with a White Industries ENO rear hub. I’ve been nice to the frame, and it has a really beautiful and durable powdercoat finish applied by the masters at Spectrum Powder Works, so there are no large scratches or defects; the logos are all painted and under the clerarcoat. Also, it has geometry adjusted for an 80mm suspension fork.

Geometry is as follows:

seat tube (c to c): 20.0″

toptube (effective): 24.7″

headtube length: 5.0″

headtube angle: 72.0 degrees

seat tube angle: 73.5 degrees

chainstay length: 17.4″

BB height: on the tall side at 12.35″ to prevent pedal strikes

Parts include:

Pink King headset

Surly Karate Monkey fork

Profile cranks and 34 tooth Imperial chainwheel

FSA bottom bracket

Paul and ENO hubs laced 3-cross with double butted spokes to DT TK 7.1 rims

Thomson stem

Easton monkeylite riser bar

Phil Wood 18 tooth cog

WTB spped V saddle (never ridden)

Avid mechanical disc brake, 180mm rotor

Why would anyone drop two grand for this bike??? First of all its a singlespeed with ridgid fork so all it’s good for is street riding, also it’s a steel frame so it’s going be a heavy bike! And let me just add that this bike pretty damn ugly! Guys, just take a second and think about what you willing to pay so muck for. You could pick up a high-end DUAL-SUSP’ 29er for the same price that you guys are offering for thins THING!

Anonymous is a troll that wants to buy this thing on the cheap. What “high end” FS 29er can be had for $2k? Most “high end” FS frames cost nearly that much.
