TwentyNineInches.com Zion 737 29er Frame
August 10th, 2006 by Tim GrahlIf you check out the JensonUSA site you can now pre-order the Zion 737 29er Frame. It’s available in both the EBB and non-EBB version.
Here’s the cool thing… the Zion has only ever been offered in Black and White. However they have licensed the TwentyNineInches.com name and color so you can now pick one up in “TwentyNineInches.com Green”. There’s a limited offering of these so be sure to get your hands on one.
Here’s your links… the Zion 737 EBB and the Zion 737.
Some specs…
Standard vertical dropouts, top-routed cables, and a cleanly welded and finished double-butted 4130 chromoly frame.
- 51mm International Standard disc brake mount (rim brakes cannot be used)
- Frame accepts 68mm bottom bracket, 27.2mm seatpost, 1 1/8″ (28.6mm) top pull, top or bottom swing front derailleur, and 1 1/8″ headset
- Geometry is based on a 80mm travel 29′er fork (i.e. Rockshox Reba 29). The Zion 29″ fork is suspension-corrected for perfect handling if you prefer a rigid fork
Pictures aren’t out yet, but I’ll be sure to get them here asap.

Are the standover heights accurate?
Beats putting a green sticker on a white frame, congrats!
Awesome news Tim.
My, those prices are definately a break-through for 29″ hardtails! A Zion EBB frame for the price of a Redline Monocog frame+rigid fork, not bad at all! Zion frame+fork cheaper than the Surly KM ever was, ouch…
My standard response to nice offerings late;y: too bad, no XL…
And I would have talked a couple of friends into buying them for sure. The green ones, of course…
You dwarfs better get your fix and enjoy them green Zions fully!
Don’t they have matching Zion forks available? I don’t see them on Jenson’s website. Will they have a green fork to match the green frame? Are the geared frame and fork disc-specific?
I can’t seem to connect to the Zion bikes web site http://www.zionbicycles.com/
I would like to know the difference between the 660 and the 737.
Does anyone know the difference between these frames?
Any recomendations?
I believe the 660 uses 26″ wheels, while the 737 uses 29″ wheels, that’s all.
Anyone know about the matching forks?
I thought I saw on Jenson’s website that they had one of these that you could run as geared or a SS? I can’t seem to find it again. Any of you know wether or not the frame could be used as either one. I want to try my hand at SS’ing, I just don’t think my knee’s want to try it.
I’ll ask again…anyone know if they will offer a green fork to match the twentynineinches.com green frame?
i just ordered a green geared frame today for my wife.I was wondering if a Reba with a lockout will clear the downtube?i had to sell both my Gunnars because of this.
Nice ! But somebody know why the Zion web site:
http://www.zionbicycles.com is dead ?
Where is made the frame ? Taiwan ?
as somebody else wrote it would be more nice to have other info and
maybe more pics about it.
CIAO
Jenson’s site does not show the rake for the 29er fork, but show the length at 475mm.
Anyone know the rake?
Tim, any chance that they are going to start stocking the Green fork? I would love to buy the whole thing.
CB
I wish they’d sell a green fork!
I have called Jenson and tried the guys here…no luck thus far. I can’t even find out what paint code to use for a do-it-yourself paint job.
do you relesead the full suspensions frames ?
