rhys: The XXIX was introduced in May and is really an '07 model. Diamond Back/ Raleigh almost never update their sites until the whole kit and caboodle is ready to be released in the fall. I wouldn't rely on anything from the website. Better to call your dealer, who should by now have the information packet on the May introductions. If they don't, tell them to get the info from their rep, because I know that the reps have that info. Or, you could ask specifically what it is you want to know here and I can answer your question off of the dealer info sheet I got my dirty little mits on for the XXIX.

It exists, and is currently on it's way to the two U.S. warehouses for distribution next month. The geared version is coming later this year.

I seem to be unable to find any reference to the XXIX on any of the Raleigh websites, UK or USA. Am I missing it, or looking in the wrong place??

MMcG: I want to say $750-ish, but I can't remember. It's been discussed here I think.

Tim: It might be of help to those interested in this bike if you would give us your height and riding weight. (with gear). and also what size XXIX you are thrashin'. That way your commentary can be guaged a little better by us out here in internet land. I'm especially referring to your comments on fit. Thanks!

Spanky: You are correct on delivery dates. The first XXIX's are expected in warehouses sometime in July and are destined to fill orders made late May and throughout June. That should easily take care of the first batch coming ashore.

This will be a model in short supply for awhile, until demand slows down a bit. Right now, it's one of Raleigh's hottest selling bikes in their line.

Tim's comments aren't helping that supply problem out, by the way! (wink-wink!)

I put my order in today. I would be really suprised if I saw the bike before August, from what the shop guy was saying. It sounds like the people around this site have more info than he did.Hell the shopbro didn't even know Raleigh was putting a 29er out. I'll just have to be patient and ride my Rig.
