Gary Fisher’s Full Suspension 29er

And by Gary Fisher… I mean the real, live man. He made a trip up to visit the folks at Freewheel Bike out of Minneapolis, MN last weekend and they shot me these pictures of his personal 29 inch full suspension.

They also passed along a bit of a rumor… apparantly Gary Fisher (the company) is planning on releasing two models of the Race Day 29er. The Supercaliber that can be seen on their site and in catalogs, and perhaps a higher end model called the Procaliber. Anyone else heard this?

I have heard this also from the shop insider and from the Tre/GF rep for the area. Of course they could not either confirm or deny the rumor. I just want the frame.

According to the Fisher website, the Procaliber is a 26″ wheeled raceday bike.

That bike is sick! I love the color. The race day bikes are very nice, I would love to have one. Though, I cant give up the 293!

I have also heard of a Race Day 29er Procaliber. It would be pretty sweet if it was set up as a 2×9, the way my sources have told me.
Want one? I dont race… But I think it could have huge potential.

NOw why can’t they produce it in that color? Looks MUCH MUCH better than that black thing on the website. I can’t tell you all enough on how much I loath black bikes. Gag me w/a spoon!

Marty, you are right on! This color scheme is hot! That’s what I’d buy, not the black one.

These bikes are going to be light. Our local Trek rep had a XL built up bike with pretty normal parts in the shop last week. It was 26.4 lbs with pedals on a very accurate digital scale.

I’ll second and third the votes for a better color. I’ve been telling them every chance I get not to make it in the black, (like I have any pull.) I’m hoping for the red pictured on this site earlier. That green is pretty hot thought.

……ooh…. ditto on the color comments recommending anything other than the black…. the solid red looks great… and the green there looks sweet too….
I’m hoping to receive mine by end of June….. hope that’s not too unrealistic….
