Sneak Peek: 2007 Kona Kula Primo 2-9

Here’s a sneak peek picture of the Kula Primo 29er coming of Kona in 2007. While everything shown here won’t be spec’d on this frame when it comes out, here’s are some details:

Full scandium

RockShox Reba SL, 85mm
XT drive train
Hayes hydraulic HFX 9 wavy rotors
Maxis 2.1 Ignitor tires.

On MTBR, the world’s foremost MTB Tire guru Shiggy shares info and rumors collected at this weekend’s Sea Otter Classic.
WTB are making a Weirwolf LT 29×2.55″, but it’s a matter of wait and see to know what actual size the casing will end up being. Fingers crossed!

There you have it. Would that be the first anodized 29″ hardtail, by any change?
A Scandium frame with the much-lauded Inbred geometry, geared and disc specific. No paint to scratch, as anodizing just changes the color of the outer molecules.
Won’t that go nicely along the anounced Carbon On-One fork…

Sea Otter Round Up

All in all Sea Otter was huge for the 29er community.
The full carbon Orbea Alma has been released. We posted the release on this bike back in February. Glad it wasn’t a fake out.
