I bought a Carver after I have been riding my 2006 Paragon 29er! The Paragon was great at mid-range speeds and cornered better than any 26" bike ever could!I had problems when it came to climbing so I bought the Carver because of the 26" rear, it does accelerate and climb better and still rails corners!!!! The only thing I can find wrong with this combo is while the 29" front smoothly goes over things the 26" rear has to go over the same things!(HARSH) This just makes me take a little smoother line, it still corners like a 29er!!! It might matter where you live also! I live by the four corners in Northern New Mexico at 5800ft in the high desert! The bike rocks on all of my local trails, most are fast with lots of high speed corners and goood climbs!!I went to Moab last weekend and rode the slickrock trail and everything worked out sweet!!I Love the Carver.
