Confirmed: Redline Monocog 29er

December 6th, 2005 by Tim Grahl

Guitar Ted’s rumor has been confirmed. Redline is coming out with a 29er version of their Monocog Chromoly. I reviewed the 26 inch Monocog earlier this year over at Blue Collar Mountain Biking and loved it. And I still love it. It’s always my choice for any kind of riding around town.

The 29 inch Monocog will be spec’d out pretty much the same as its 26 inch counter part. The first sample is currently sitting in the Redline office and I should have some pictures for you in the next couple of days.

First shipment of them is due in March and with the budget minded prices of other Redlines this should be a super affordable choice for a 29er.

Good job, Tim! I knew you’d get the skinny on this, as I remembered the Monocog review you guys did recently!

I have a 29er, it’s pretty cool. bikeshopdave replaced the stock headset because it was too flexy, I got disc brakes, single speed, rode it last night, great fun
