I wonder whether Travis and Jeremy were surprised to hear their times. Back in teh days I think it was some Giant pro's that couldn't believe they were actually faster on a full-suspension bike which seemed so tardy to them.
Pro's seem like like constant hard spike hits on handleba rand seat to know they're still rolling...
Now wait till they both get a hang of 29" riding, even most pro's will probably more than a single ride to really get the maximum out of it. Though Travis has been getting used to a 29" front end since a few months...

Great update, keep them coming!

Can't wait to see/get one.I have a cracked 292 frame now and am refusing a replacement similar frame. Waiting to get this instead. Lucky I have a back up 26" bike in garage. Any idea on the weight with light components? I hear it should be well under the 28-29 lbs currently on the 292/293 models.

Tim, are you going to get this dude at Trek fired, or what? Last time you scooped the pics, Ryan Atkinson seemed a little put out, judging from his post on mtbr.com. Anyway, awesome reporting there dude!
