Gary Fisher Supercaliber 29er Prototype
October 5th, 2005 by Tim GrahlMy guy in the Fisher prototype lab came through quicker then I expected.
These pictures are of the first prototype of the Gary Fisher Supercaliber 29. It hasn’t all been put together yet as he’s waiting on the final components. He said he’d try to get some more pictures of the full bike once it’s done.
I’ve heard the 26″ version of this rides pretty nice so I’m super stoaked about the 29 inch version.

This looks exactly like a Santa Cruz Superlight. If this has 29″ wheels and the same 4″ travel as the Superlight, I will buy it the day it is available.
It’s probably more like 3″, at least that’s how it was announced. Then, the 3″ Lenz Leviathan has t’s owners swearing it rides better than a 4″ travel TWENTYsixINCHER.
Great to see the pics on here so soon, not quite usual for a big-shot brand.
Yeah I was surprised I actually got them.
Hope he comes through with the pics of it built up.
I can’t wait to see this bike in actual living color. I already got 1000.00 bucks down on a 21″ frame at my bike shop. I have been waiting for a full suspension 29″ by Gary fischer for days. Looks awesome can’t wait to ride it this season. Any final word on exactly when these come out? I heard middle of May. Let me know
You’ve got money down on a frame that may not even come as a frame only, with a yet unsure release date? Who’s your shop, I have to money to send them!
