I can’t find any news articles relating to it, but according to Guitar Ted, Cameron Chambers of the Gary Fisher team won the NORBA 24 Hour National Championships in Spokane, Washington while riding atop a 29er. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for more reports on it.

Also, the singlespeed division was won by a 29 inch wheeled bike, as well. Rock on, big wheels YO!

Dejay Birtch from Tucson, AZ won the singlespeed division on a Gary Fisher Rig, the Two-Niner singlespeed. Dejay is one of a kind. A super guy who is wicked fast on a mountain bike. He isn’t too bad for sitting back and sharing a bear with after the race either.
