Other rumoured or close to production tires include Ritchey 2.3 in a possible MegaBite tread, Hutchinson Python, and the remainder of the Specialized proto-type tires which were handed out by a post card contest recently. The 29er world is still waiting for a "go-fast" racer boy skin, and an all-out freeride/DH worthy skin that clocks in at least 2.5" wide. Tire selection has been getting better all along. Also, I have it on a good inside source at Trek that they are developing thier own tubless tire and rim for 29 inch wheels. I'd look for them on the '06 Fisher line.
